You should choose a name that best describes the purpose of your patch.

Now you have to enter a file name for the patch file. Then file a bug in our Bugzilla and submit the patch.įor creating such a file, right-click the directory, which contains all changed files, choose TortoiseSVN and then Create patch. If you don't have commit (write) access to the SVN Repository, you should create a diff/patch file, which only contains your changes. If you made changes to the code, you might want to submit them to the project.

The next time you want to get the latest SVN revision you choose SVN Update. Once finished, you have all files ready for a fresh build using the ReactOS Build Environment. Now all source files for the latest revision will be downloaded to your computer. If you want all components, just enter svn:///reactos/trunk. If you only need the ReactOS base components, enter svn:///reactos/trunk/reactos into the URL of repository box.

Now you have to decide, which files you want to check out.

Then right-click this folder and choose SVN Checkout.

Create a folder, in which you want your source files to reside (for example 'ros' or 'ReactOS').
